Dewey is a city in Washington County, Oklahoma, United States. Founded by Jacob A. Bartles in 1899, the town was named for Admiral George Dewey. It was incorporated December 8, 1905. The population was 3,179 at the 2000 census and 3,432 at the 2010 census, an increase of 8 percent.

Dewey is a quiet small quaint little town People are friendly and loving And will help you anyway they can Schools are good and they are close we have a very adorable little downtown a great grocery store and places to Worship the Lord a nice park and even a couple restaurants we even have cute parades and things like that from time to time in the town it's a great little All-American town and place to bring up children or retire
