Our schools are the center of our community, we have great support for all school activities. We are also the County seat and have the courthouse in the center of our downtown area. Covington holds several parades and community activities each year and we have a city park that has been updated and renovated with a new playground, pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, frisbee golf, and many pavilions, several little league baseball and softball diamonds. We have a Senior Center, an 18 hole Golf Course, Bowling Alley, Grocery and Pharmacy store as well as several restaurants including; Subway, County Market, Casey's, and other bars, hair salons, banks, credit unions, auto stores, several churches and more.........All of our businesses are community friendly to all age groups.

The nearest hospital is 15 minutes away but we do have clinics in our town and doctors offices. Covington High School is at the center of our community, we support and promote our schools as safe, drug free, and high in school spirit. There are homes and rental units available in Covington, we have a Nursing Home facility, and new housing additions are being built. We have one grocery store (County Market), 5 gas stations, a CVS, Subway, Chinese Restaurant, Laundromat, Appliance store, Post office, 3 Banks, 2 Credit Unions, coffee shops, antiques shops, salons, a beautiful City Park, and a Golf Course located just on the edge of town by the interstate.
