This is a small mountain community of mostly seniors with a small library and lovely parks for walking and fishing. There is very little crime and the Senior Resource Development Agency (SRDA) in Pueblo provides transportation services daily and lunch on Thursdays in the Community Center. There are very few local businesses, but they do employ older workers. There is a small medical clinic in Colorado City that is an extension of Park View Hospital in Pueblo (25 miles).
We have transportation to the Senior Resource Development Agency (SRDA) in Pueblo, we are quite and low crime, SRDA has a senior lunch at the Rec Center on Thursdays. Our community is 20 miles south of Pueblo and our population is mostly elders. Pueblo has great senior services but high crime. SRDA is probably the best non-profit ever. They have fantastic services for elders to help them stay in their homes and acquire the resources they need for survival.
