Avon is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 4,356 at the 2010 census. The Avon Council on Aging is charged with recognizing and understanding the interests, needs and concerns of the town senior citizens. It is the COA's commitment to develop, design, and implement programs, as well as educate the community about aging in place. The COA primarily provides information, referrals for services, and support to ensure dignity and independence of residents 60 and over and their care partners living in the community. Services Include:
- SHINE APPOINTMENTS: (Medicare and Drug Plan reviews & advice)
- LAWYER APPOINTMENTS: 2 nd Monday every month Assisting seniors with questions about elder law
- CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP 2 nd Thursday every month-6 pm (For caregivers of a loved one with memory loss)
