The elderly neighbors of mine have no family, are lonely and are heavily medicated. Quite often there homes have emergency responders due to repeated falls inside their homes. There in one man that lives near by that fills these people's already complicated lives with negative gossip and hateful rhetoric causing them to act out from time to time. On one occasion my elderly neighbor offered alcohol to a minor in our community and the board members and president intervened and made the whole thing quickly go away. On another occasion a women was being held captive in her own house. When she was able to she called for help to a neighbor walking by who quickly acted and came to her aid. That man was never rewarded nor a knowledge for his good deed and instead this community did everything to make the whole incident go away. Here they will call the police on a child for breaking a swimming pool light but will not call the police when a child is being offered alcohol by an 80 year old man. This community is not age friendly as it is apparently an inconvenience to hold adults accountable for their actions and act independently from the law. I have been a care taker for a child with autism and act as his advocate to date every complaint I have ever made to this board and management have gone ignored and obviously unanswered. A prime example of their bias is when there was a man harassing a teenage girl here in the community. When the issue was addressed the community board members stated they don't get involved in neighbor to neighbor issues. When that same man began harassing an elderly white women in the community in that case board took action.
