I think this town has a lot of poverty lately and people in need, therefore there are people of all ages that need general help and care. The particular neighborhood I live in is very age friendly and very much so geared towards helping individual needs such as ways to improve living conditions for the individual and ways to improve the community as a whole (eliminating smoking on public property, helping children and elderly with special needs and accommodating them accordingly), but I have noticed that slatington as a whole seems to be geared moreso towards teens and young adults so I can't really decide if it's age friendly or not for the elderly.
