Where I live in Johnston is close to any shop you would need, the highway, and I find it very easy to navigate.
From my experience, Johnston seems to be a friendly place to live for people of varying ages. Public transportation is available with good service and the assisted living community I'm aware of is very well rated.
I have lived in the town for over twenty years and feel the people are hospitable, caring and respectful of all people. Regardless of age or ethnicity.
I believe it's age friendly not a bad place to live
