This is a Rustic community on the outskirts of a small southern Alabama township. Many of the families here are fourth- fifth generation living on their own acres. Friendly town, easy going. Low to moderate income families. Emphasis on children and school safety. Die hard Alabama Roll Tide Football fans!
This is a rural town 3rd and fourth generation families have lived here all their lives.
My hometown is in a rustic County of Chilton, AL. Primarily the land was occupied by farmers. My grandparents lived in Jemison, raised ten children on their 37 acre farm land. It was a place where everybody knew everybody. There has been some gentrification since the 1980's and Alabama rural towns have attracted greater numbers of people from all backgrounds looking for peace and security. The land is plush green in the spring/summer with good weather conditions except for the occasional tornado in season!
Overall, Jemison Alabama and surrounding towns are very age friendly and family friendly.
