We have great elder day care programs, a wonderful Council on Aging, and senior center. We have a complete hospital with several rehabilitation services. We also have a transportation system set up to assist seniors as needs arise for doctor appointments, grocery outings, social gatherings, etc.

I would say that this city is somewhat neutral. There is only one exception that I can think of. The area of Gloucester that I live in is called Magnolia, which borders Manchester-by-the-Sea. Although it is a really pretty and rural seaside are, there is very little in the form of public transportation. This does make things difficult for some of my elderly neighbors who can no longer drive.

This neighborhood is a mix of all ages from elderly to newborn. There is no one type of age group that is more prevalent. Anyone of any age fits in well.
