What makes Surratts Gardens age friendly is because you have a different variety of age groups the neighborhood is peaceful and fun we host a block party every other year for the residents of the neighborhood. Not only is it age friendly but it gas everything you need in the surrounding areas from four nearby schools, public transportation in walking distance shopping outlets etc. I feel this way because I have spent majority of my childhood and adulthood in this neighborhood and community before there were public transportation shopping outlets and at the time there were only two nearby schools at the time.
Quiet neighborhood, not very close to public transportation so there isn't much random activity. I take my daughter to school everyday, and we go to the park near by if it isn't too cold and I haven't experienced any problems.
Community engagement, everyone seem to be very friendly and kind.
Everyone looks out for each other. They have community meetings about the neighborhood.
Community is very quiet and people do speak. Friendly neighborhood.
