There's so much to do here in woodland Park. They have hiking, fishing, as well as the Charis Bible college. Not even 15-20 minutes away they have cave of the winds and pikes peak which has an elevation of 14,000 ft you can take the cog railway up or drive some younger generation prefer to hike it and they do have the incline which is all stairs almost completely straight up and down.

The average age in Woodland Park, Colorado is 55 or above. Woodland Park (WP) is located in Teller County which is the smallest county in the State of Colorado. Historically founded as a stop over for travelers going from Cripple Creek to Colorado Springs and vice versa. WP never was a destination. As such, WP has few tourist attractions to offer. Woodland Park has become a bedroom community to Colorado Springs and most residents commute to Colorado Springs to work. Teller County is the most armed county in the State of Colorado with at least 2 guns to every third resident. Woodland Park is a walkable community where there are sidewalks available downtown. But most of the streets on the west side of town were built before city leadership ever heard of sidewalks. Current city leadership refuses to provide sidewalks where none exist and current city government tends to be deceptive and secretive with citizen business, funds and assets. Local politics tend to be ultra-conservative and religious but hardly moral.
