Warren is a charming little city on the banks of the Allegheny River. The Allegheny reservoir and National Forest border the city along with the Kinzua Dam and Recreation areas. This permits year long activities no matter what the weather is planning. Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and many additional activities are available during the colder months, while camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and a host of other outdoor activities abound during the warmer months. Outdoor concerts in the park, sporting events, picnicking and other events occur at many of the park areas in and around the area. Within a 30 mile radius there are many little towns and villages with events taking place most weekends year round. There are several large industries in town and the area immediately surrounding the city. The area has a great educational system from preschool to college level courses. The crime rate is very low compared to many cities of similar size. Basic care is readily available with access to UPMC -Pittsburgh and AHN- PITTSBURGH by Lifeflight in emergencies. Additional care is available in Erie, Buffalo NY, and Cleveland OH. Its a great little place to raise a family.
