Everyone cares about everyone no matter how old.
We have a lot of retirement housing, AFH's, and care givers who live in the area. Easy access to transportation and more
I've been living in the Meridian Park neighborhood of Shoreline, WA for the past two and a half years with my wife and two children (6 and 2 y.o) and I would prefer to first find out more about the livability needs of the interested party before I would recommend living here.
Public transportation is close and efficient but might require walking on very steep hills. A great number of clinics and other healthcare options are in close proximity. With such a high concentration of families with children, playgrounds, parks, and schools, Meridian Park will feel like living in a big friendly village filled with the voices of playing children, lovingly decorated houses, and you don't have to look too far to find people walking, exercising, and enjoying nature. Throughout the pandemic, this neighborhood had volunteers assisting those in need with free grocery pick ups, check ups, and all kinds of other offers of assistance.
It would be important to consider the proximity to the highway, Aurora avenue, and a few other high traffic areas for those with noise sensitivity. I would say that this area is best enjoyed by those who are able to access the many forested parks and trails as well as the generous offering of beaches and coastline views.
