Shamokin (; Saponi Algonquian Schahamokink, meaning "place of eels") (Lenape: Shahëmokink ) is a city in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, surrounded by Coal Township at the western edge of the Anthracite Coal Region. It was named after a Saponi village, Schahamokink. At the 2010 census the population was 7,374 residents. The city of Shamokin is bordered by Coal Township, Pennsylvania.

I see people care and help others but I also see younger generation not so friendly
Alot of programs for the elderly, its has Rabbit Transit to take clients to their appointments or shopping centers when requested, and there are at least 3 home towers for the disabled and elderly.
Worked in the caregiving field for many years. Ready to go back and help again.
