There are many services and activities that seniors can engage in. Shopping and recreation is nearby and can even be reached by walking for active seniors. The city and surrounding areas have attractive senior living apartments for active seniors and facilities for those needing help. There is also pickup service for nominal or no cost for seniors and disabled residents. Healthcare facilities are plentiful and fresh foods are plentiful. The local hospitals and the town host farmers markets weekly.
