I lived in Millbury for 14 years until December 2022. They have made many upgrades to the sidewalks, streets, and public/green spaces. The downtown area is walkable or a short ride to many elderly apartment complexes along with a stunning Elder Community Center. There are several banks, bakeries, and a lovely little grocery market for our folks to visit, along with 2 pharmacies, parks, and a local Reliant healthcare facility. If you would like shopping, we have the Shoppes at Blackstone up the road, and for entertainment, we have the Blackstone Cinema along with our Elm Draught house where you can catch a film for $5 and have some pizza and wine at tableside while watching your film.
Although Millbury is a small town they do offer a lot of services to all ages. There is a beautiful senior center that is very active. Asa Water Mansions hold many social gatherings a good percentage of them are free! We are located 10 minutes from Worcester but we have all the wants and needs you would find in a big city but they are all in our small town.
The transportation system is good, and the streets are walkable. You can accomplish a lot in one visit to the Blackstone Valley Mall.
It is a decent town, and some errands can be done on foot or bike. Accessible on foot to the mall at blackstone.
I'm new to the areas, neighbors are friendly
