Marshfield is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States, on Massachusetts's South Shore. The population was 25,132 at the 2010 census. The Council on Aging, a human service department of  the town, through it’s Senior Center, provides a central mechanism for the delivery of services and activities to Marshfield’s elder population. Programs and Services include:

  1. Information and Referral: Through trained staff and an extensive resource file, the Council on Aging is able to direct callers to the appropriate resources and answer questions about a variety of services. In many cases, the Council on Aging makes the referral for those seeking assistance and provides follow-up to insure that the needed assistance has been rendered.

  2. SHINE Program: The Council on Aging has 2 certified SHINE counselors available to assist elders in the community. Counselors also help with claim forms and applications. They will make referrals when appropriate.

  4. Triad: TRIAD is a community policing initiative between volunteer seniors, local law enforcement and local service providers. The primary goal of TRIAD is to increase senior safety through education and crime prevention.
