It became a retirement area and young families due to all the Sr. housing, multiple retirement assisted living facilities, homes for 1st step of downsizing before needing a special facility due to aging or medical issues. Great schools, great first responders, and a desire to be near children and grandchildren that had chosen to move because of what area provides. Beautiful area, shopping availability, and senior activities, that include many free outside music and other art activities. I came with young children 30yrs ago and now see benefits to those over 65. All businesses and other facilities comply to handicap code and many medical and dental specialist. Great hospitals and many Urgent Care locations. Medicaid accepted in some and all my doctors take medicare. I grew up in a very small rural town that is very difficult for my mother at 88 because she needs drivers for appointments 30 to 45 minutes from her home.
She would not be in her home if not for my brother next door and a part-time caregiver. Many senior educational programs are available
and many are free. Great library facilities that also offer learning programs. I have found in getting back in the work force, many caregiver businesses to choose from that meet needs of the elderly.
Active community center
, it's age friendly. The subdivision is great, extremely clean. There are rules to follow, which is a good thing. Great schools near by. Community Meetings as well.
