Manchester-by-the-Sea (or simply Manchester) is a town on Cape Ann, in Essex County, Massachusetts, in the United States. The town is known for scenic beaches and vista points. At the 2010 census, the town population was 5,136. The Council on Aging works to keep elders as integral members of the community by supporting them through community services, resources and intergenerational activities. Programs and Services include:
- Wellness Programs: Strong Women, Yoga, Zumba, and Longevity Classes
- SHINE: The SHINE (Serving the Health Information Needs of Elders) Program provides health insurance counseling services to elderly and disabled adults. SHINE counselors are trained to handle complex questions about Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Health Maintenance Organizations, public benefits with health care components, Medicaid, free hospital care, prescription drug assistance programs, drug discount cards, and long-term health insurance.

A quiet town with little crime. Very nice place to live but also not a whole lot to do.
