I have been carrying for Elderly for 20 yrs. I started the love for this business after my mema was diagnosed with cancer. Placing her in a nursing home facility wasn't an option for me.. I felt the best care for her would be in the comfort of her own home. So I quit my job at the hospital and went full-time taken care of my Memaw.. during that time I grew to love the job, and I grew to love taking care and seeing the smile on her face. After she passed away, I started to take care of her father again nursing home wasn't an option for him or me the best care he could get was in the comfort of his own home, and he lived a little longer.. after he lived to be 102 years old and passed away, I've developed a love for elderly I no longer had grandparents so I took this personal for me every home every person I met became now my grandparent or my great aunt, or uncle or aunt, that is how I look at every one of my clients. I went ahead and developed and started sitting in homes sitting in nursing homes. I love the passion of cooking, having someone to talk to being able to get the wisdom and knowledge that is so so great to have that I no longer could receive from my grandparents they were no longer living. I enjoy the passion of taking care of someone having to think that I am blessing their lives but in all in respect, I wasn't a blessing to them as much as they have been a blessing to me so when I walk into a clients home, they have no clue that I'm not the blessing they are my blessings because they are fulfilling me with what I no longer have which is a mama and a daddy Joe. I am a certified MAC I have my ones and twos. I am also certified in CPR.I am a minister in my church, and I also have a organization that every holiday Thanksgiving and Christmas we adopt a senior and what I mean by adopt a senior is that that could be anyone in the communities or as seniors that I have worked with I adopt one every year and we raise money for other people to also adopt them. We bring them toiletries cards, kids come and Caroline seeing with them we give them gift cards to purchase whatever they want to purchase just for themselves because we want them to know and understand that they are loved and we appreciate the doors that they have open for us and it does not go unrecognized.
