Howland is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, United States, which was settled in 1818. It was named after John Howland, one of the passengers on the Mayflower. The population was 1,241 at the 2010 census.

This is a small town and it doesn't offer anything for anyone. We have 3 convenience stores, which 2 of them are also gas stations, a post office a bank. The town doesn't provide any incentives for businesses to come to town. There's nothing in town for school aged children to do either. No rec centers.
