Love our community but this area of the country is very expensive for seniors.
Fairfield is a town of about 60,000 people. Very family-oriented, with many of its adults working in New York City, which is easily, conveniently reached by the MetroNorth train line.Four high schools three middle schools, a bunch of elementary schools and two colleges. There are nice, new retirement villages and assisted-living facilities. A very nice town for all.
Based on what I have seen in the public library and town recreation center, I have met many people my age or older who are very friendly. Also, in the stores that I frequent I have seen many older people working there.
Very diverse town… All age groups included
Family town, nice people, great beaches, parks, stores and amenities.
