Although. Columbus Georgia has a very high crime rate, it has several age friendly communities.. Willis Plaza ,m y neighborhood, is a very quiet family oriented community with hardly any disturbances. As far as education and city wide activities, there are plenty, suchas, OUR STATE UNIVERSITY AND RENOWNED TECHBICAL INSTITUTES , NOT LIMITED TO. JAZZ CONCERTS ON THE RIVERWALK AND BROADWAY.WE HAVE A SKATEBIARD PARK, AN ICE SKATING RINK AND A MOST FAVORED PAK WHERE THE KIDS PLAY AND THE PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS WALK AROUND. A. 1/2MILE TRACK OR A 1.5 mile exercise course.. There are plenty of employment opportunities.last but absolutely not least,I feel that we have some pretty good programs to assist those who's income exceeds the maximum for family assistance but below what is needed for survival. I guess that you can tell that I LOVE COLUMBUS GA.
