Very nice warm and friendly people.
Its somewhat frindly.
Chehalis is somewhat economically depressed. The county, of which Chehalis is the seat, has 17.1% unemployment. Demographics do seem to include a high % of older people, as most younger people seek employment elsewhere. There are plenty of activities at churches, granges and a few senior centers, but they all require transportation. There is a city transit system, but no inexpensive rural transportation. There are about a dozen small residential care facilities in Chehalis and Centralia, but they are all rather disorganized, gloomy, and cramped. The nearest professional senior care service is 40 miles in Olympia.
Chehalis is still small not a lot of traffic and it's right between Portland and Seattle
